Robin is passionate about creating environments where people can thrive personally and professionally. In the past 25 years she has held a variety of management positions leading teams in both corporate and non-profit organizations.  Robin was an adjunct professor for Chapman University, where she taught classes in organizational leadership from 2002 to 2005.

After moving to Hawaiʻi Island in 2005, Robin was the Director of New Moon Foundation for four years before joining Five Mountains Hawaiʻi in January of 2010.  As the Executive Director of Five Mountains Hawaiʻi, Robin is helping to develop programs that match the needs in the community in order to fulfill the organization’s mission to ensure that of North Hawaiʻi is a healthy place to live, work, play and raise families.

Deanna manages the community efforts regarding substance abuse prevention and reduction in the youth population while developing a network of organizations collaborating and sharing information for the same. Prevention specialists throughout the community, community health specialists at large, and grass roots advocates all participate in the North Hawaiʻi Drug-Free Coalition.

Originally from Kauaʻi, Deanna spent the last 5 years developing the “About Face!” family of programs for the Hawaiʻi National Guard Education and Health programs. “About Face!” focuses on skills training for youth aged 13 to 17, in addition to displaced adults, developing a variety of essential life skills for interpersonal relationships, critical thinking, health, fitness, leadership, and enjoyability. The innovative program has been successfully established in numerous U.S. States, Washington, D.C., and Guam.

Deanna’s early career work included Hubble Space Telescope at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Division. She holds a degree in Engineering from the University of the Pacific and graduate degree from Stanford. A busy mom in addition to her vocation, Deanna supports three sons attending college – all three, proud students of Kamehameha Schools’ East Hawaiʻi campus.
